The fleet of machinery is predominantly JCB and ranges from micro excavators up to 14-tonne 360 degrees wheeled excavators and embraces a variety of telescopic handlers.

Savage Plant also hires out narrow access dumpers which are used for restricted areas.

Savage’s range of JCB telescopic handlers, which lift up to 17 meters, are to found on most house building sites in the region.

Savage also offers a plant transport service in which the company will move equipment belonging to others. To this end it has a CPC license for its light plant haulage department.

Equally determined to have a highly competent workforce, Savage has ensured that all operatives are CITB-approved and fully qualified.

“We are dedicated to the customer, whose wishes and requirements are paramount from the type of plant we buy to the type of service that goes with it.”

R Savage Plant Hire has always taken great pride in being a “British Company with old fashioned values in customer care.” These views have been inherited from the founder Mr Roy Savage.

It is, therefore, no surprise to see the company’s striking red, white and blue livery appearing on highways, railways and construction sites right across the Midlands, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
